Māori Reservation Trust Act 1994 - This document sets the authority of the trust and its trustees.
Trustees Duties - The role of the Trustee is set by the Māori Land Court. The attached document explains its role and function. Trustees are bound by the provisions of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 and the Trustee Act 1956. Their key duty is to "maximise the assets and minimise the liabilities of the Trust" to the best of their ability and within the law.
